    Current value.

    name?: string

    The field's name — handy for keyed updates: s => ({ ...s, [name]: value }). The one caller-provided field carried here, for that pattern; read anything else (id, type, className) off event.target.

    empty: boolean

    true when the value is empty.

    valid?: boolean

    Whether the field currently passes validation (native + error). undefined where ElementInternals is unsupported.

    validationMessage: string

    Current validation message ('' when valid).
